Solo Exhibition by Angelo Gilberto Perlotto
From October 5 to November 9, 2025, in Verona, at the former Oratory of Santa Maria della Giustizia Vecchia – now home to the Fondazione Museo del Carnevale di Verona – Gibo will present a solo exhibition that, for the first time, brings together the entire span of his artistic journey.
The exhibition retraces the decades of his dedication to the hyperrealism of smithing art, where iron is transformed into surprising matter: fruit, fabrics, books, sounds, and memories. The works, in dialogue with one another like a symphony, offer visitors the poetic and visionary universe of one of the leading contemporary interpreters of this art form.
It is a journey through more than forty years of work, in which iron becomes living matter: wood, pages, musical instruments, and fragments of everyday life. Sculptures suspended between reality and metamorphosis tell of a world where matter is not merely shaped but becomes beauty, memory, and music. A unique testimony to the creative force of a master recognized among the foremost figures of contemporary smithing art.
